Through its official Instagram account, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) provides advice on investing in order to achieve financial targets in the future. according to OJK, investing actually does not need a large capital, it can start from Rp 10,000 by investing in Mutual Funds. In addition, in Indonesia there are also various types of Mutual Fund investments whose security has been guaranteed by OJK.

Here are some types of Mutual Funds with their respective risk profiles:

1. Fixed Income Funds

Risk Level: Conservative

Invests funds in debt securities or bonds at a minimum of 80% and 20% is invested in money market instruments.

2. Money Market Funds

Risk Level: Conservative

Invests funds in money market instruments such as deposits, bonds, and Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI) with maturities of no more than one year.

3. Mixed Funds (Discretionary Funds)

Risk Level: Moderate

Invests more funds in stocks and bonds, with the rest in money market instruments.

4. Equity Mutual Funds

Risk Level: Aggressive

Investing funds in equity instruments of at least 80% and the rest in money market instruments and/or bonds.

In addition to providing advice on where to invest with a capital of Rp10,000, OJK also made a simulation of the benefits obtained through money market mutual funds with an assumed return of 5% per year.

2. 36 months term

- Funds earned without investment

Rp10,000 x 30 days = Rp300,000

Rp300,000 x 36 months = Rp10,800,000

- Funds obtained by investing = Rp11,340,000

 

3. 60 Months Term

- Funds obtained without investment

Rp10,000 x 30 days = Rp300,000

Rp300,000 x 60 months = Rp18,000,000

- Funds obtained by investing = Rp18,900,000
